Ajman University & BSEEN International Launch an Active Learning and Coaching Centre.Strengthen your competitive advantage and accelerate your employees' development through Active Learning that is lasting and tangible.
Ajman University of Science & Technology (AUST) and BSEEN International Organization Ltd (BSEEN) have announced the launching of an 'Active Learning and Coaching Centre'. The new revolutionnary solution to personal development concepts and methods for employees was revealed at an event held at Ajman University on October 14, 2010. BSEEN, which is a global consulting and services company that delivers high impact ICT, will help AUST obtain the best solutions through its managed family of region-focused Strategic Partners with industry expertise and provide it with the best in bread ICT solutions and services. The new centre to be established will introduce participants to the concepts of Active Learning and Coaching (ALC) and offer them On-the-job tailored training that is built around active participation and organization and real-life scenarios; while applying and enforcing training concepts through periodical coaching and mentoring. Organizations that adopted this solution have experienced a significantly higher impact in performance compared to traditional training. As a result, performance and Return On Investment (-ROI) continue to rise; especially when the solution is implemented in an environment of measurement and accoutability. Active Learning is a dynamic process for problem-solving, building teams, and developing leaders. It is a process which engages the whole person, not just the intellectual mind. When people try to do things and fail to succeed, emotions are triggered, and these have a significant effect on how we respond. On this new partnership, Dr. Ahmad Ankit, AUST Vice President for external Relations and Cultural Affairs stated that: "Ajman University is keen on building partnerships that will benefit to both partners and to the target audience particularly. We hope that by establishing this centre, we would have contributed somehow to bridging the gap between the academia and the local community, while providing excellent training opportunities to university students and the local community which are in eager need of high profile coaching and active learning experiences." Dr. Hakim Khali, Dean of AUST College of Information Technology, added: "This strategic partnership will result in a unique expertise that will be used to identify and offer highly focused intra and extra mural training programs required by the students, faculty members and local community as well. The new centre will help students acquire extra-curricular skills and knowledge highly demanded by a dynamic changing market to get entry-level positions in well-established companies and organizations. We hope this centre will close the gap between universities and the local market by promoting excellence and long-life active learning." On her part Mrs. Azita Nader, CEO of BSEEN International, said: "We live in a wonderful era of fast moving technologies, where collaborative work patterns are the norm and where entrepreneurial skills are blended with sound business judgement and financial astuteness. Against this backdrop many of us have the desire and compulsion to raise the bar for excellence and learning. It is BSEEN’s vision and endeavours to provide a platform through Ajman University, where people with drive can gain the opportunity to extend their learning beyond standard courses and excel in their profession and all aspects of their personal life." "You can teach people new and valuable concepts very quickly. But when these concepts are not internalized or applied in business environment, people forget them even faster. The most significant and lasting learning comes when people are involved and engaged in figuring out concepts on their own that they can apply in real life business situations. That is what ALC is all about" said Matt Jabbour, General Manager - Active Learning and Coaching at BSEEN International.
