BSEEN International Emirates Net Systems and Technical Arts Concepts (TACME), held a successful business focused conference, in Abu Dhabi, UAE showcasing the challenges facing businesses leaders today and in particular what motivates improvements in productivity and security of a company’s valuable assets - their data, and what contributes to the profitability of organisations and quality of services from Governments.

The conference was held at the Yas Island Rotana & Centro, Abu Dhabi, UAE on 22 March 2011 and was attended by senior executives from the oil and gas, government, education, financial services and Banking sectors.

BSEEN brought together highly qualified subject matter experts from their world-wide partner community to present on a different technology facets of the conference theme.

The CEO of Emirates Net Systems L.L.C Mr.Shaik Hamdan opened the conference by welcoming all the dignitaries' guest and the keynote speaker together with Azita Nader, CEO of BSEEN International and Moatasem Mohaisen, General Manager of BSEEN International UAE. Azita Nader also highlighted the experiences and vision of BSEEN and its roadmap in the MENA region.

In the opening session, Alfie Taylor from BSEEN International, presented the theme of the conference and explained that increasing data breaches and information loss is costing businesses and Government agencies Billions of Dollars in the GCC region. With the rapid growth of Internet based services, the challenge has become how to automate the processes, improve the end-user experience, and improve productivity, while eliminating data leakage, data breaches and maintaining the security and confidentiality of sensitive documents.

The key note address was given by Samir Abdullatif of iGov, highlighting IT performance should be a key concern of business and IT executives as it demonstrates the effectiveness and added business value of IT.

Global360 covered the aspects of improving Business Processes, stream lining Workflows and improved security, reduced risk, lower operating cost and increasing customer service levels. The presentation also discussed the concept of rules management, and how this provides increased security and flexibility in an environment where business rules change regularly.

MarkAny discussed how Dubai Courts, UAE uses Markany document rights management solution to eliminate document forgery and securely control documents for case applications by citizens and lawyers to the courts and the court’s Notary services. Using the BSEEN Solutions, the processes were streamlined to the point where the filing of document at the court could be achieved without having to attend the courts in person.

Data Fusion International (DFI) spoke of how European Security and Defence Agencies are now deploying Single Views and Tracking solutions of targeted parties under scrutiny (Individual or Entity) to aid in making well informed proactive decisions before suffering the outcome of unwanted actions. These solutions are deployed by security & intelligence, Homeland Security, Terrorist monitoring, Criminal Asset Recover, Fraud investigation/Anti-Corruption, Patient Healthcare, Telecommunications, Banking and Finance.

PasswordBank spoke of the challenge of identity management increasing with the complexities of different operating systems, web only application and Enterprise based applications. Leading banks, Hospitals, ISP’s, Governments, Oil and Gas have deployed PasswordBank in environments which span multiple platforms with a single sign to both web and enterprise applications in a securely managed environment. The solution increases security, reduces risk, and meets legal requirements for compliance regulations.

Amalto showcased how Bapco, Bahrain improved e-Procurement using the B2B local supplier procurement process between small and medium sized suppliers by enabling the exchange of electronic documents, like RFQs, Purchase Orders or Invoices with suppliers in a secure and managed environment. Amalto's solution has been deployed by large and medium sized companies in the Oil and Gas, Construction and Mining, Telecommunications and Banking.

TASNEE, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, presentation covered their clear vision highlighting the value BSEEN solutions brought towards meeting their business objectives. In particular the business benefits of e-Billing for over 2,700 invoices per month by using Forms Lifecyle Manager (FLM) from BSEEN and Arch. This approach eliminated the paper based processes, simplifying the management and design of their SAP Applications. Productivity increased, enhancing information security and reducing operational costs.

Emir@tes Net Systems spoke of the importance of securing valuable assets by the use of next generation surveillance systems, presently surveillance systems have moved from reactive to proactive responses in doing so unwanted object detection, object classification, face cataloging, behavioral tracking can help users identify any event. These solutions reduce significantly the cost of security, and surveillance while integrating with existing security based systems such as Building management Systems, access controls and fire detection to name a few.

WellKom spoke of the concept of the health of the business being critical to successful and profitability of a company and the effectiveness and productivity of government agencies. This can only be achieved through a three dimensional management approach to the performance of the organisation, its employees and its management.

Ajman University introduced the Active Learning Centre in collaboration with BSEEN International offer a range of on or off site programs in Arabic or English from Project Management, Leadership for Executives, Career Essentials, Business Processes enhancement and Corporate Security.
